School Age Programs
AHRC New York City operates three schools for students ages 5 to 21:
(for children aged 5 to 11) – located in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, NY
(for children aged 12 to 21) – located in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, NY
Our school-age programs serve students, (primarily with an autism spectrum disorder,) who have been recommended for a non-public school (NPS) placement. Students in these programs typically have educational classifications of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or Emotional Disability (ED) and Other Health Impairment (OHI).
(for children aged 5 to 21) – located in Staten Island, NY
Staten Island Prep serves students diagnosed with autism between the ages of 5-21 and is also approved to educate students with learning disabilities, other health impairments, emotional disability, and or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
AHRC NYC’s school-age programs provide educational services in highly-structured, supportive settings. Our well-trained staff understands the strategies and techniques necessary to successfully instruct students with a specific set of strengths and deficits.
